Antimicrobial surfaces protect users by creating an hygienic environment which prevents the spread of infection.
By applying the Hygenex Recoat Antimicrobial Coating System to your hard surfaces, you will eliminate bacteria and viruses for up to six months - an important consideration for all areas where hygiene is of the utmost importance.
Applying to Touch Points
Hygenex Recoat Antimicrobial Protection can be used to protect touch points including door handles, light switches, and screens.
It is important that you thoroughly clean the touch point before application of the Antimicrobial Protector. This must be done using the Hygenex Recoat Surface Cleaner to remove acids and fatty residue, thourough cleaning is the key which allows the Antimicrobial Protector to adhere correctly.
When applying to a small touch point such as a door handle or light switch, is important the Antimicrobial Protector is sprayed onto the microfibre cloth and not directly onto the item as this would cause overspray onto other surfaces. The microfibre cloth should be completely saturated with the Antimicrobial Protector, applied and spread evenly using the microfibre cloth.
Once dry, the surface is antimicrobial. The antimicrobial coating will last up to 6 months, depending on use. Presence of the antimicrobial coating can be identified with a UV light, for future top-up applications just repeat the process.
On average, a bottle of Hygenex Recoat Antimicrobial Protector will cover 200-300 door handles and around 500 light switches.
