    Versatile multi-reactor blocks with an endless number of uses for any laboratory. Each block has multiple zones with independent heating and agitation. Reactor wells are able to take a variety of adaptors in order to accommodate many types of vessels from 2ml to 50ml and even high pressure vessels. Each unit is fully computer controlled from a PC inside the unit. poly-BLOCK The versatile multi-reactor block with a variety of configurations for your laboratory, built to fit around you - not the other way round.

    Temperature Monitoring and Control

    Temperature of each zone (or "jacket") is controlled (and measured) individually with local heating elements; this will be typically within ~ 0.5°C of the sample temperature. In addition, an extra thermocouple can be inserted to measure the exact process temperature. Heating or cooling rates of ~ 0.05 to 5°C/min. Each zone temperature is independent, and a range of over 100°C is possible at the same time. The operating range is -80°C to +300°C (200°C standard); the lower value is determined by the chiller used.

    Agitation

    Each zone can be stirred from ~ 50 to 1500 rpm. Powerful motors and well designed magnetic coupling, allow viscous fluids to be stirred. Mechanical stirring is also possible using a unique (patented) stirrer design – this ensures excellent mixing and prevents damage to crystals through grinding.

    Specific Applications

    The poly-BLOCKS can be incorporated into "applications" such as crystallisation, process development and catalyst screening. Several such options are available, or can be designed according to user-requirement.

    Reflux/Gas Purge

    All units allow total reflux and gas purge. The 8 zone units use a combined condensation/purge block, while 4 block units can be supplied with individual mini-condensers.
