SARC (Single Axis Rotary Cultivation) is a single axis rotary cell culture system independently developed by our company, also known as a horizontal gyroscope. It is commonly used in ground laboratories for simulating microgravity effects on cells, tissues, and dynamic 3D culture. It is a low-cost, reproducible platform for simulating microgravity effects and dynamic 3D culture.
The system includes the SARC-G series universal rotary cultivation system and the SARC-P series perfusion rotary cultivation system, which can meet the needs of the vast majority of users for dynamic 3D cultivation and microgravity effect simulation cultivation. In addition to being used for cell and tissue culture activities, this system can also be used for microbial culture activities.
The SARC rotary culture system is used in conjunction with a dedicated reaction vessel. When in use, the interior of the reaction vessel is 100% completely filled with culture medium. At the same time, the large area gas exchange membrane that comes with the reaction vessel ensures sufficient air exchange inside and outside the reaction vessel, creating a low shear and dynamic cell growth environment without bubbles, mechanical stirring, or liquid turbulence. Cells grown in it can randomly flip and move, and cells can freely combine with each other, making it more suitable for dynamic cell culture, 3D culture, and microgravity stress simulation culture activities.
Characteristics and application scenarios:
1. No bubbles, the interior of the reaction vessel is 100% completely filled with culture medium to avoid the influence of bubbles;
2. No liquid turbulence or mechanical stirring;
3. Low shear force;
4. Gas exchange is more complete, and the supporting reaction vessel achieves sufficient gas exchange through its own large-area exchange membrane or oxygenator (suitable for SARCP perfusion rotary culture system);
5. Continuous perfusion, the culture medium can flow and update continuously according to the set parameters (limited to SARC-P perfusion rotary culture system), avoiding the risk of frequent replacement of the culture medium;
6. Continuous perfusion is very user-friendly for adding other reagents during the cultivation process, without the need to stop the current cultivation activity;
7. Co culture activities can be carried out in conjunction with dedicated reaction vessels (limited to SARC-P series only);
8. Real time display of microgravity effect simulation level according to settings for convenient user reference;
9. Can be used for a long time in a CO2 incubator;
10. The system has low heat generation and will not interfere with the temperature of the incubator;
11. Designed for scenarios such as cell suspension culture and microgravity effect simulation culture, mainly used in cell biology, tissue engineering, microbiology, cell and tissue regeneration research, space medicine, etc.
