REAGEN™Enrofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone that inhibits the activity of bacterial DNA gyrase. It was the first fluoroquinolone antimicrobial to be used in veterinary infections by E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Mycoplasma and Hemophilus species. The MRLs for the sum of enrofloxacin and its active metabolite ciprofloxacin have been stated at 100 μg/kg (ppb) for muscle tissue and fat, and 100 μg/kg (ppb) for milk.
