Gamma-tubulin complex component 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TUBGCP5 gene. It is part of the gamma tubulin complex, which required for microtubule nucleation at the centrosome. Gamma-tubulin complex is necessary for microtubule nucleation at the centrosome. Among its related pathways are Cell Cycle, Mitotic and Regulation of PLK1 Activity at G2/M Transition. GO annotations related to this gene include microtubule binding. An important paralog of this gene is TUBGCP6.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, ELISA: 1:20000. Not yet tested in other applications.
