DLX5 encodes a member of a homeobox transcription factor gene family similiar to the Drosophila distal-less gene. The encoded protein(distal-less homeobox 5)may play a role in bone development and fracture healing. Mutation in DLX5, which is located in a tail-to-tail configuration with another member of the family on the long arm of chromosome 7, may be associated with split-hand/split-foot malformation.
Dlx-5 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Dlx-5 protein.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, IF: 1:200-1:1000, ELISA: 1:40000. Not yet tested in other applications.
