CNNM2 encodes a member of the ancient conserved domain containing protein family. Members of this protein family contain a cyclin box motif and have structural similarity to the cyclins. The encoded protein may play an important role in magnesium homeostasis by mediating the epithelial transport and renal reabsorption of Mg2+. Mutations in CNNM2 are associated with renal hypomagnesemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for CNNM2.
Cyclin M2 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Cyclin M2 protein.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
