LWD series Centrifuge for separation of detrital material of drilling muds is widely used in solid control system for drilling mud to separate the solids phase of mud, remove harmful fine drill solids such as debris, etc. in the mud fluid, or recover weighting materials such as barite etc. so as to reduce the cost of mud fluid.

FHD(Fully hydrauli drive) centrifuge is driven by fully hydraulic power.

As to RFD(rated frequency drive) centrifuge, the rotating bowl speed is fixed, so the speed can be changed only by changing drive pulley;

While VFD (variable frequency drive) centrifuge can achieve large-range stepless speed regulation easily with parameters
displayed, e.g. speed and working current.

Horizontal spiral discharge sedimentation centrifuge (referred to as decanter centrifuge) is an effective separation equipment which use centrifugal acceleration generated by high-speed rotation into the acceleration of gravity to shorten thousands of times of the settlement time of solid particles than in the gravity field.

The solid particles are discharged from the drum through the screw conveyor continuously and without interruption.

Structure and working principle

1 The structureThe centrifuge is composed of revolving drum,spiral conveyor,big and small end cap shaft,right and left bearing housing,differential,motor transmission parts,lubrication system and electrical control system.
2 Working principleWhen drilling mud continuously enters the centrifuge through feed tube,it enters the bowl through feed
hole,the bowl rotates in high speed;Under the action of gearbox,conveyor achieves a differential speed that lags the bowl.Thus,the bowl and conveyor composes transmission mechanism with slight differential speed and highspeed rotation in same direction.An annular liquid pool is made inside the bowl under the action of centrifugal force that is hundreds of or even thousands of times greater than the gravity. The solid particles settle on the inner surface of the bowl and form a cake. Due to the relative movement of conveyor flight and bowl, the cake is driven to the small end of the bowl and is discharged from solid discharge port. The clarified effluent of inner circle is discharged from overflow port through a spiral channel. Consequently, the production process of continuous separation of solids phase and liquid phase is realized. Working principle draft.
