Application
The five photosynthetic reactions of plants, including photosynthesis, pigment synthesis, photoperiodicity, phototaxis and morphological mutation, all happen in the wavelength range of 400~700nm. Thus the wavelength in 400 ~ 700nm of radiation is called Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR), its symbol is Qp and its unit is W/m2. PAR is the energy source of the plant life activities, organic matter synthesis and yield formation.
