HDGF encodes a member of the hepatoma-derived growth factor family. The encoded protein has mitogenic and DNA-binding activity and may play a role in cellular proliferation and differentiation. High levels of expression of HDGF enhance the growth of many tumors. HDGF was thought initially to be located on chromosome X; however, that location has been determined to correspond to a related pseudogene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. HDGF (Heparin Binding Growth Factor) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with HDGF include Lung Cancer and Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Among its related pathways are p70S6K Signaling and Akt Signaling.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC-p 1:50-200, ELISA 1:10000-20000.
