    Hozen MICRO Indicator is a useful tool to detect whether a production environment is threatened by harmful microbes. Product performance and overall quality will be threatened, and product expiration date will be shorten, if we don’t control the harmful microbes. More importantly, microbial contamination monitoring can effectively protect the end consumers from microbiological harm. The Hozen MICRO Indicator can indicate the species of harmful microbes and measure the density of microbial population by a simple method. The Hozen MICRO Indicator provides a simple and easy way to monitor the microbial contamination during production and packaging, eliminating the need for a professional technician or an external professional laboratory. The test should be carried out prior to the material injection during the product storage and transportation packaging, including raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products.     Weekly test should be carried out for each tank and critical control node in the production pipeline system to detect levels of microbial contamination.     The Hozen MICRO Indicator is a sterile disposable microbial culture assay kit that can be used to detect bacteria, molds, yeasts in aqueous systems.

    The Hozen MICRO Indicator kit consists of 10 microbiological test pieces on both sides which are placing in the sterile tube. Notes for recording test time, microbiological Comparison Table and standardized test results, as well as detailed guidelines are also included.

    A step-by-step instruction manual Step 1: Unscrew the sterile tube cap, take out the microbial test piece without touching the microbial culture medium.

    Step 2-A: Soak the microbiological test piece completely into the colorless water solution for 5 to 10 seconds. Then proceed to step 3,

    Step 2 - B: Soak the sterile cotton swab into a water-based product with a pigment or a higher viscosity. Streak on both sides of the test piece gently with the cotton swab without puncturing the medium. Then proceed to step 3,

    Step 3, Get rid of the liquid on the test piece, insert the piece into the sterile tube quickly and tighten the cap to seal the tube.

    Step 4 Fill the note to record the information of time, place and product type and label on the tube. Step 5 Place the tube in an incubator (85% relative humidity, 26 ℃ -30 ℃) for 24 h under dark. Step 6 After incubation, check the microbial growth by comparing the comparison table supplied in the kit to determine contamination degree. Step 7: Develop a regular plan to test each tank and key control node in the production pipeline system and take the necessary action for control.

     

    Effect evaluation:

    The microbial community leaves traces on the surface of the microbial test pieces. The colony density can be estimated by visually comparing the microbiological density comparison table. Bacterial colonies are shown as red dots  and grown on the light yellow side of the test piece. Fungal colonies (mold and yeast) grow on the red side of the test piece. Molds form small and concentrated colonies, while yeasts form larger colonies with fuzzy boundary. The Hozen MICRO Indicator's suite contains recommended ratings, including acceptable levels of contamination and contamination levels that require immediate action (rating varies by system). Hozen MICRO Indicator is disposable. The usedproducts can be easily treated by overnight soaking in a cleaning / bleaching agent or autoclaved.
