SPOPL Belongs to the Tdpoz family.Contains 1 BTB (POZ) domain.Contains 1 MATH domain.TDPOZ, a family of bipartite animal and plant proteins that contain the TRAF (TD) and POZ/BTB domains. The Tdpoz gene cluster is mapped on chromosome 3 at 3F2.1-2.2. RT-PCR experiments and a search of expressed sequence tag (EST) databases show that the Tdpoz1-5 genes are transcribed in early embryos, particularly at the two-cell stage.TDPOZ proteins form a new protein family on the basis of similar protein domain organization. TDPOZ proteins may be nuclear scaffold proteins probably involved in transcription regulation in early development and other cellular processes.
Human Speckle-type POZ protein-like (SPOPL) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SPOPL in samples. An antibody specific for SPOPL has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anySPOPL present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for SPOPL is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SPOPL bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
