Tensin 1 encoded by TNS1 localizes to focal adhesions, regions of the plasma membrane where the cell attaches to the extracellular matrix. This protein crosslinks actin filaments and contains a Src homology 2 (SH2) domain, which is often found in molecules involved in signal transduction. Tensin 1 is a substrate of calpain II. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
Phospho-Tensin-1 (Y1326) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Tensin-1 protein only when phosphorylated at Y1326.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:20000. Not yet tested in other applications.
