Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E encoded by EIF4E is a component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4F complex, which recognizes the 7-methylguanosine cap structure at the 5' end of messenger RNAs.Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E aids in translation initiation by recruiting ribosomes to the 5'-cap structure. Association of this protein with the 4F complex is the rate-limiting step in translation initiation. EIF4E acts as a proto-oncogene, and its expression and activation is associated with transformation and tumorigenesis. Several pseudogenes of EIF4E are found on other chromosomes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
The Abbkine eIF4E (phospho Ser209) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and detects endogenous levels of eIF4E protein only when phosphorylated at S209. The antibody has been validaed in WB, IHC-P, ELISA and reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat samples.
Abbkine supplies below price/size: $100/30μl, $220/100μl, $360/200μl of Rabbit Anti-eIF4E (phospho Ser209) Polyclonal Antibody at https://www.abbkine.com/product/eif4e-phospho-ser209-polyclonal-antibody-abp50306.
