CellFreezer, a chemically defined solution, provides a revolutionary method for the cryopreservation of cultures cells. Completely it has verified at the biomedical laboratory University of Pittsburgh in the USA. CellFreezer is optimized to substantially increase cell viability during long-term storage. CellFreezer can be used to cryopreserve cells either in a deep freezer(-80℃). Unlike conventional cell storage methods, CellFreezer keeps high viability, even when cells are stored in a deep freezer for 2 years. CellFreezer is truly an easy, economical and safe storage method for cells.

Procedure for freezing cells
1. Remove culture medium.
2. Wash cultured cells and then come off the cell by trypsin processing.(For cells in suspension, start with step 4.
3. Resuspend cells with culture medium.
4. Centrifuge and then remove supernatant, gather the collect cells.
5. Resuspend cells gently with CellFreezer at a concentration 1×105 ~ 1×107 cells/ml.
6. Incubate in ice for 10min.
7. Add 10% DMSO (cell culture grade) and mix gently.
8. Divide cell suspension (1ml) into cryovials and store at -80℃.
(Important) Do not use any accessories to freeze cells slowly. For longer storage (more than three years), transfer frozen cells to liguid nitrogen next day.
Notice
- Certainly, an experiment to process in numerical order 5,6,7.
- Keep CellFreezer at 4℃.
- Cell culture grade DMSO is needed, but not included.
