The dedicated consumable for the xxpress®, a range of test plate volumes to ensure optimum reagent usage.
MULTIPLE TEST VOLUMES
XXplates™ are available in a range of sizes, 24, 54 and 96 well. Based around a standard form factor they are interchangeable and xxpress will recognise which size is inserted and its orientation. The range of plates covers sample volumes from 0.5µl to 40µl, allowing optimal use of reagents, so minimising cost-per-test. Test wells are set on standard pitch, allowing the use of standard pipetting systems.

Founded in 1996 by BJS Company, BJS Biotechnologies was created to create and develop ultra-high speed thermocycling technology and apply it to PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests. It previewed its q-PCR xxpress? thermal cycler at Biotechnica in October 2011
BJS Company Ltd is BJS Biotechnologies’ parent company. It supplies precision electroforming, electroplating, high quality silversmithing and sophisticated assembly of electroforms for industrial applications. Since the early 1990s, BJS Company has been the world’s leading supplier of the silver heat exchange blocks used in the faster PCR thermal cyclers. The blocks are electro-formed using a process created by the company’s current Managing Director Richard Lewis. Richard is the grandson of Benjamin Lewis who founded BJS Company in 1945.
