The Quo-Test HbA1c Analyser is a fully automated hemoglobin A1c analyzer that uses patented boronate fluorescence quenching technology to measure glycated haemoglobin from a 4μl sample taken from a finger prick or venous whole blood.

Sample results are available within four minutes and are reported in IFCC and DCCT standards (Mono S & JDS reporting are also available). Quo-Test HbA1c analyzers can store up to 7,000 results which can be downloaded as text files to a PC via the integrated USB interface.  Alternatively, results can be printed using the optional printer which connects via a serial port.

Quo-Test’s step by step instructions are displayed on its clear, multi-lingual display. Training time is thus kept to a minimum, allowing nurses and clinicians to concentrate on patient care.

The CE marked EKF Quo-Test HbA1c Analyser has been approved by China's SFDA for the monitoring of Hb A1c in diabetes patients. Quo-Test is manufactured in the UK by EKF Diagnostics Group company Quotient Diagnostics Ltd (ISO13485:2003 certified).

The EKF range of analysers is unique in their ease of use, accuracy and portability which is why we are a trusted brand in GP surgeries, pharmacies, blood banks, sports clinics, hospitals and laboratories for the measurement of glucose, lactate, hemoglobin, hematocrit and HbA1c.

EKF Diagnostics products' reputation for quality, accuracy and ease of use stems from our beginnings as a technology business founded in Barleben in Germany in 1990. In the following years we have invested in developing a portfolio of analysers and consumables for the near patient care sector that deliver laboratory accuracy and reliability without the high costs and maintenance associated with lab devices.

In 2010 EKF Diagnostics acquired HbA1c developer Quotient Diagnostics based in Walton-on-Thames, UK and Argutus Medical in Dublin, a specialist research and distribution company engaged in kidney and liver diagnostics. The following year the company expanded further through the acquisition of Stanbio Laboratory, a manufacturer and distributor of diagnostic products with a worldwide customer base.

EKF Diagnostics recently acquired the UK-based technology company, 360 Genomics, gaining access to their gene detection technologies; PointManTM and CounterPoint?. 360 Genomics then went on to become EKF Molecular Diagnostics Ltd a subsidiary of EKF Diagnostics Holdings Plc. The EKF Molecular management team has a wealth of experience in the global field of molecular diagnostics. This was shortly followed by the acquisition of Selah Genomics Inc and DiaSpect Medical AB in early 2014 further adding to the diversity of EKF Diagnostics product portfolio.

Today EKF Diagnostics has distributors in more than 100 locations around the globe, multi-national research and manufacturing facilities, teams of experienced analysts and engineers in Germany, Ireland, USA and the UK and a board led by some of foremost authorities in medical diagnostics in the world.

The ordinary shares of EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc are traded on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange plc. Details of EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc annual results and financial information can be found in the Investor Relations section of this website.
