Primary principle
This procedure represents a well-established technology for viral DNA purification. Viruses are first lysed and RNases activities are inactivated by innovative binding solution/protease K. This technology combines the selective binding properties of a silica-based membrane with the speed of microspin technology. A specialized high-salt buffer system allows DNA to bind to the silica membrane. Then, the sample is applied to a Mini spin column, where DNA binds to the membrane and contaminants are efficiently washed away by novel washing solution. Finally, High-quality DNA is eluted by low-salt RNase-free water from silica-based membrane.
