- BugBuster® Protein Extraction Reagent is formulated to gently disrupt the cell wall of E.coli and liberate soluble proteins. This flagship reagent from MilliporeSigma utilizes a detergent mix that is capable of cell wall perforation without denaturing soluble protein. Simply add the BugBuster® Reagent to your cell pellet and incubate at room temperature for 10 minutes! No special preparation of your samples is required. No instruments are needed. Unlike other mechanical methods such as Sonication, protein denaturation is not a problem. BugBuster® reagent produces high yields that are reproducible, convenient and fast!

(A) E.coli lysates (5μL of 1 mL total lysate) from various lysis protocols were fractionated and analyzed by SDS-PAGE. A band correspondinf to 6XHIS-CRP is prominently visualized in the BB +/+ lane.
