The refrigerated centrifuge Centrisart® G-26C is characterized by a speed up to 26,000 rpm or a gravitational field up to 62,000 x g, and is therefore especially suitable for the sedimentation of very small particles or substances with low density differences. Typical applications are the isolation of viruses, organelles or membranes and the precipitation of proteins. Of course, the cooling centrifuge Centrisart® G-26C can also be used for applications that do not require high speeds, such as the isolation of nucleic acids by means of spin-pillars or the ultrafiltration means Vivaspin® units for sample concentration as of antibody solutions, sample desalting or buffer exchange and removal of contamination with small or very large molecular weights. The selection of rotors and adapters for different vials and the variably adjustable speed range 100-26,000 rpm give the Centrisart® G-26C an extremely high flexibility.

The programming of the refrigerated centrifuge Centrisart® G-26C is performed with only one button that is used to select and set all relevant parameters. The centrifuge has a storage capacity for 60 programs, which are managed in a process library with tabular program preview. In addition to the name values for the speed, duration and temperature are listed. With the help of the process library the search for a specific program is greatly simplified. Individual functions such as saving, modifying, charging and starting on programs can optionally be password protected against unauthorized access. Programs can be combined and executed in succession using the function 'program rotation'.

The refrigerated centrifuge Centrisart® G-26C provides the option to configure acceleration and deceleration curves individually adapted to the sample material in a curve editor. To further protect the samples, the centrifuge is equipped with a high-performance compressor which can cool the rotor chamber to -20 ° C. Runs can only be started when the temperature is within the allowed tolerance of the temperature monitoring function. During the run the cooling system even at maximum speed ensures reliable sample cooling to 4 ° C. The integrated run monitoring allows continuous control of speed and time during centrifugation. The run monitoring compares the speed values of the current run with the programmed values and displays a summary after each run.
