Temperature control technology from Huber supports researchers in the fight against the coronavirus
The corona pandemic poses great challenges to people around the world. Health systems and medical facilities are being subjected to an unprecedented test of endurance. The novel corona virus SARS-CoV-2 has put the entire world in a state of emergency.
Research into effective medicines and vaccines against the coronavirus is now a top priority. As a manufacturer of high-precision temperature control technology, we consider it our responsibility to support research in the fight against the coronavirus.

Temperature control technology from Huber is used, for example, to manufacture chemicals for coronavirus tests. In addition, reaction vessels are tempered in which the first vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 may soon be produced. Huber temperature control technology is also used in the production of medical devices and protective equipment, e.g. for material and functional tests and for quality assurance. In the field of laboratory diagnostics, Huber products take over the cooling of analysis devices and ensure precise temperatures in the cultivation of cultures as well as in the preparation and storage of laboratory samples.

Status update on accessibility, delivery situation and protective measures
We are currently fully operational in all departments. The company has sufficient inventory and we continue to receive materials from our suppliers. Orders are still being accepted and goods are being delivered.
In the meantime, the first bottlenecks in deliveries and in the logistical area and in personnel planning can be seen. Due to the corona crisis (force majeure), the delivery times stated in the offers and order confirmations are subject to change. We ask for your understanding.

The number of infections with SARS-CoV-2 continues to increase dramatically worldwide. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the global spread of COVID-19 as a pandemic on 11.03.2020. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), this is a very dynamic situation which is to be taken seriously.
The RKI currently rates the risk to the health of the population in Germany from the COVID-19 infection as high, and very high for risk groups. The likelihood of serious illnesses increases with increasing age and existing medical conditions. According to the RKI, however, this risk varies from region to region.
