Esco Introduces New ISOCIDE Antimicrobial Powder-Coating

With immediate effect, Esco's NSF-listed Labculture Class II Type A2 (LA2), Labculture Class II Type B2 Biosafety Cabinets (LB2) and Labculture Cytotoxic Safety Cabinets will now feature Esco's own Isocide brand antimicrobial powder-coating on their external surfaces. The Isocide antimicrobial powder-coating replaces the previous BioCote powdercoating on the above-mentioned Esco cabinet models.

Esco Isocide coated surfaces add an additional safety dimension to our laboratory workstations and cabinets by minimising microbial contamination and inhibiting bacterial growth within internal cabinet areas thus enhancing operator and product protection. The anti-microbial powder-coating also minimises the risk of cross-contamination via cabinet external surfaces during regular usage.

The Isocide powdercoating will be implemented on ALL Esco Biotech workstation and cabinet surfaces from May, 2006. Updated catalogues with information on Esco Isocide antimicrobial powdercoating will be available soon and an announcement will be sent.
