Transatlantic Accolade for Tower Cold Chain’s Investment into U.S.

Temperature-controlled container specialist Tower Cold Chain has received a prestigious Transatlantic Growth Award (TAG) for its investment into North America.

The TAGs are awarded by BritishAmerican Business (BAB), the international chamber of commerce representing the interests of companies involved in transatlantic trade.

Tower won the TAG for ‘UK SME Growth & Investment in the US,’ following the opening in 2023 of its Americas Centre of Excellence.  This significant investment in a 26,000 sq. ft Centre of Excellence ensures the availability of the entire Towers product portfolio, from 12 to over 3000 litre payloads, and covering a temperature range from -80°C to +20°C. This demonstrates Towers' commitment to providing availability and proximity for its expanding US customer base in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, airline, and 3PL sectors.

Only six TAGs are awarded annually, representing UK investment into the US, and vice versa, across three sizes of company.

The announcement was made at a reception held at the Institute of Directors in London.  Earlier the same day, Tower CEO Niall Balfour participated in a roundtable of business representatives to discuss ‘UK investment and expansion in the US.’
