The Power is in Your Hands…
It's faster. It's easier. And it puts you in control.
The Agilent 3000 is a powerful new GC solution from the worldwide leader in chemical analysis. The Agilent 3000 Micro GC provides fast, accurate, reliable analysis of your gas sample on-line-–right at the sampling point. It is ideal for the rapid analysis of gas streams in fuel cell development and the hydrocarbon processing industry, including refineries, natural gas production and distribution, chemical operations, and oil and gas exploration. The robust construction of the modular 3000 micro GC means long-term, trouble-free operation. The easily interchangeable GC modules make reconfiguration and repair quick and simple, to keep you in control of your gas analysis and your process.
Fast, simple and portable. The 3000 micro GC packs big advantages.
With the Agilent 3000 Micro GC there’s no need to wait for lab results. Our new system provides fast analysis at your sampling point. You have immediate access to the data, calculated to your specifications, or you can forward data off-line for processing. Agilent’s Cerity Networked Data System (NDS) for Chemical QA/QC software enables non-chromatographers to generate data on-demand or continuously via automation. The 3000 system is totally portable. When interfaced with a laptop, the micro GC can be carried to any site, anywhere.
True Portability
With the portable 3000 micro GC, the user is truly independent. Options for a small, on-board carrier gas cylinder and batteries untether your analytical capabilities. You can choose both the compact carrier gas cylinder and batteries, or the on-board cylinder only if the analyst has easy access to local power.
Some important features of the portable 3000 micro GC include the following:
All injectors and columns available for the 3000 are available for the portable 3000.
The batteries and mini-carrier gas cylinder are rechargeable. A cylinder recharging kit comes with the instrument.
Analyses can be run using power from the on-board batteries, an AC power source, or the power cable adapter for an automobile.
The batteries can be recharged from either an AC power source or using a power cable adapter for an automobile.
A battery charge monitor is included in the Cerity software.
Any heated zone can be turned "off" to save power, extend battery time to recharge, and enable lower-temperature analysis.
The sampling pump can be turned "off" or "on" as part of the method.
Analyze simple or complex gas streams with a single injection.
With the Agilent 3000 Micro GC, most analyses are completed in less than 160 seconds with a detector that is 10 times more sensitive than traditional thermal conductivity detectors. Multiple channels make analyzing complex samples quick and easy. Each channel or module is a self-contained GC comprised of a micro-machined injector and micro thermal conductivity detector and a high-resolution capillary column. As a result, you can simultaneously analyze your sample on up to four different columns using four different sets of operating conditions – expanding your separation capabilities without compromising speed. Digitally controlled pneumatics coupled with extended dynamic detector range enable you to analyze gas streams containing major and minor components in one run with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
Application-specific configurations include:
Fuel cell
Complex refinery gas
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
Natural gas
Mud logging
Flue gas/stack emissions monitoring
Environmental workspace monitoring
Impurities in industrial and specialty gases
Impurities in petro/chemical products
Transformer oil gas analysis
Mine safety
Fermentation gases
Let an Agilent expert help configure a system just for you.
No matter what your gas analysis needs are, you can count on Agilent Technologies’ 35 years of chemical analysis expertise to help you determine your micro GC system needs. Our application specialists can assist you in designing a 3000 micro GC system specifically customized for your applications or you can select one of our pre-configured systems optimized for natural gas analysis, refinery gas analysis, or fuel cell applications.
Features
Custom configurable
Build your 3000 micro GC to suit your specific application needs with one to four chromatographic channels. Choose from a variety of micro-machined sample injectors, columns, sample conditioners, and application-specific reports.
Easy to use software
The Cerity software is sample-focused and requires just a few mouse clicks to start the analysis and generate the report. Cerity is accessible for operators at various skill levels-–no need to be a chromatographer to get accurate, consistent results. If needed, data generated overnight can be reprocessed the next day.
Easy troubleshooting and in-field repair
The modular GC design maximizes uptime, with repair as simple as exchanging one module for another. You can be back up and running in less than an hour.
Remote start/remote access
No need to be on-site to start sampling operations. LAN connectivity allows for remote access to the instrument and data. Or you can have a remote instrument or process computer automatically start the GC analysis.
Variable, fixed or backflush injection options
Increase sensitivity, maintain high precision, remove unwanted contaminants from your sample, or speed up analysis with these injector options.
Digital pneumatics
By controlling carrier gas flow electronically, reliability and precision are enhanced while further simplifying operation.
