Category Name:RNA Quantitation Kits
Item:RNA 6000 Nano LabChip® Kit
Description:
The RNA 6000 Nano LabChip kit provides information on the quality and quantity of RNA samples. The assay kit is designed primarily to check the quality and determine the concentration of total RNA and mRNA samples. For the analysis and quantitation of RNA preps, the RNA assay kit will be useful to scientists analyzing samples in the context of:
• Total and mRNA purification
• Northern blot analysis
• Analysis of RT-PCR products
• Expression profiling using DNA arrays
• In-vitro RNA transcription assays
• Preparation of cDNA libraries
The RNA 6000 Nano LabChip kit has become the industry standard for the quality control and quantitation of total and messenger RNA samples. It contains a lower marker, which allows for sample alignment and permits easy comparison of samples enabling researchers to distinguish different types of mRNA based on the electrophoretic traces. Most importantly, the RNA 6000 Nano LabChip kit provides enhanced RNA quantitation simultaneous with the assessment of RNA quality. Now, researchers can forego in many cases UV or ribogreen measurements and get both quality control as well as a good concentration measurement in one single analysis. Relative standard deviations of 10 % can be achieved, while the method is much less susceptible than UV to sample contaminants such as Phenol or genomic DNA. The RNA 6000 Nano LabChip kit allows detection of total RNA down to 5 ng with the speed and accuracy only LabChip® technology, developed by our partner Caliper Technologies, can offer. Digital data management and a series of software features further strengthen the leading position of the Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer for the analysis of RNA samples.
Category Name:RNA Quantitation Kits
Item:RNA 6000 Pico LabChip® Kit
Description:
Studying gene expression it becomes more and more apparent that it is useful to extract RNA from very small tissue samples so as to not mix up the RNA of a tissue of interest (e.g. cancer tissue) with the RNA of the surrounding tissue. Although the tools are now available to extract individual cells and to isolate RNA from these cells, there have been so far no convenient methods to verify successful RNA isolation and the intactness of the RNA samples. The RNA 6000 Pico kit is now closing this gap allowing determination of integrity of very low amounts of RNA as well as an estimation of the amount of the isolated RNA.
• Automated quality control of both total and messenger RNA (mRNA) samples.
• Complements the RNA 6000 Nano LabChip kit, covering the same sample range, but providing about a 25-fold increase in sensitivity.
• RNA from microdissection, needle biopsy or first strand cDNA can be checked for sample integrity.
• Highly beneficial in the analysis of microdissected samples for the comparison of gene expression in neighboring tissues, such as is used in cancer research.
• Analysis of as little as 200 picograms of total RNA or 500 picograms of mRNA.
• Allows researchers to verify the quality of their samples and to increase the success rate of their downstream experiments such as RT-PCR or microarray experiments
