Signal enhancer PO-5 is a phosphacylcholinobase based lipid polymer whose molecular structure mimics the hydrophilic portion of biological cell membranes (the phospholipid head), giving it excellent biocompatibility and versatility. Widely used in immune detection platforms (such as turbidimetry, colloidal gold, latex particles), by enhancing signal stability and anti-interference ability, improve detection sensitivity and accuracy.

 

Action mechanism

High biocompatibility: Phosphacylcholine groups have a similar structure to biofilms, reducing non-specific adsorption and background interference.

High hydrophilicity: Form a hydration layer to stabilize colloidal particles or latex microspheres and prevent aggregation.

High lubricity: Reduces intermolecular friction and optimizes chromatographic or hydrodynamic properties (e.g. uniform migration of chromatographic strips).

Anticoagulant: inhibit platelet adhesion, suitable for direct detection of blood samples (such as whole blood rapid diagnosis).

Antioxidant protection: chelate metal ions or remove free radicals to protect active ingredients (such as antibodies, enzymes) from oxidative inactivation.

 

Applicable platform and function

Turbidimetric method: Reagent R1 is added to enhance the turbidity signal of antigen-antibody complex and improve the detection linear range.

Colloidal gold/latex chromatography: Premixed in sample diluent or binding pad to reduce marker aggregation and enhance color signal strength and uniformity.

Other immunoassay: as a universal stabilizer, used in ELISA, chemiluminescence, etc., to reduce the matrix effect.

 

Controls:

Dosage: Dilute the signal booster PO-5 10-30 times, such as: 95ml sample diluent +5ml PO-5 (that is, 20 times diluted), if the project is used for the first time, it is recommended to do a gradient test.

Chromatography: Added to the sample diluent preferentially, followed by added to the binding pad.

Turbidity: Add to R1.
