Mycoplasma culturing kit has been developed for the diagnosis of urogenital Mycoplasma (U.urealyticum and M.hominis). Mycoplasma kit combines a selective culture broth. The broth contains the factors required for growth (peptones, yeast extract, horse serum, growth factors). The specific substrates present in the broth(urea for U.urealyticum and arginine for M.hominis) and an indicator reveal a change in color ,in the case of positive culture, caused by an increase in the pH .This kit is very sensitive, specific, quick and easy to read the result.
Mycoplasma culturing kit is based on culturing and biochemical reaction, Urease for urealyticum can decompose urea, then release NH3; Arginase for M.hominis can decompose arginine, then release NH3, that increase the pH of the liquid medium, and indicator reveal a change in colors.
