CapitalBio OPPolymerSlide A is designed for the production of nucleic acid microarray chips. It is produced with optical glass slide free from defects and characterized by perfect flatness and low background fluorescence. After being processed with special chemicals, the hydroxy groups on the surface of the optical glass slides are fully exposed. The optical glass slides are then processed with silylation reagents and a layer of hydrophobic chemical groups is formed with covalent bonds. Based on this layer of chemical groups, three-dimensional amino groups are formed with covalent bonds. Finally, all active non-amino groups on the surface of the optical class slides are chemically blocked.

CapitalBio OPPolymerSlide A provides an ideal substrate for the attachment of various kinds of nucleic acids. Its production is conducted in clean room. In the process of production, particles, protein, nucleic acid, and other contaminants that might produce negative impact on the quality of microarray chips are eliminated. The highly active amino groups on its surface can be linked to nucleic acids through electrostatic interaction. Covalent bonds can also be formed under the condition of heating or UV crosslinking to make the links more stable. Its high surface coating homogeneity and surface wettability make it applicable to both contact and non-contact printing and help to ensure that all types of nucleic acid sample can form regular and uniform spots on the surface. Its low background fluorescence helps to achieve a high signal-noise ratio.
