The HLY-TC series soil solution sampler uses traditional ceramic heads for sampling, which have a large adsorption capacity and significant interference with heavy metal ions and phosphate ions. And its cost is low, sturdy and durable. The HLY-TC series is commonly used in the study of nutrient cycling in farmland to extract soil solutions (moisture). The HLY-TC series ceramic head is equipped with a built-in conduit and a Ruhr connector, effectively overcoming the drawbacks of traditional samplers that cause air accidents during sampling; The HLY-TC series uses specialized syringes instead of traditional manual pumps. The syringes are used in conjunction with baffles and three-way valves to obtain vacuum and also serve as solution collection containers. It can also be improved and used as a soil water potential meter (tension meter). The HLY-TC series soil solution sampler consists of a ceramic cup (with built-in conduit), an extension tube (sampling tube, Ruhr connector), a sampling rod (made of PVC or acrylic material), a three-way or two-way valve, as well as a syringe and baffle.

 

Usage Method:

1. Use a soil drill to drill to a specified depth;

2. Insert the sampler into the specified depth;

3. Cover with soil, press firmly with feet, and pour a small amount of water along the PVC pipe wall to seal the borehole;

4. Static equilibrium for a period of time, depending on the soil type and moisture content;

5. Connect the syringe to the baffle and three-way valve, repeatedly exhaust to increase the pumping force, and finally use the baffle to clamp the piston. After a period of time, soil moisture (solution) enters the syringe to obtain the sample (or a foot pump can be used).

6. After the sample is taken, if there is no need to continue sampling, be careful not to pull out the sampler and be careful not to pull out the hose. After removal, rinse the ceramic head with clean water, dry it with a clean tissue, and store it in a cool and dry place.
