TAL1 (TAL BHLH Transcription Factor 1, Erythroid Differentiation Factor) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with TAL1 include Leukemia, Acute Lymphoblastic and Precursor T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Among its related pathways are MAPK-Erk Pathway and NF-kappaB Signaling. GO annotations related to this gene include transcription factor activity, sequence-specific DNA binding and chromatin binding. An important paralog of this gene is LYL1. It may play an important role in hemopoietic differentiation. Serves as a positive regulator of erythroid differentiation.
Chicken T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia protein 1 (TAL1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TAL1 in samples. An antibody specific for TAL1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTAL1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TAL1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TAL1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
