An orange labeled probe that localizes to chromosome region 4q16.3 which can be used to detect FGFR3 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 3) gene aberrations using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). The FGFR3/IGH translocation, t(4;14), provides important prognostic information in patients with plasma cell myeloma.
Empire Genomics has developed a custom FGFR3 probe which can be used to detect/confirm a rearrangement of the FGFR3 gene. The probe comes labeled in orange, and generally ships within 24 hours.
