he BRAF gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK/MAPK pathway. This protein plays a role in regulating cell division, differentiation, and secretion. Mutations in this gene have been associated with various cancers including: non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colorectal cancer, malignant melanoma, papillary thyroid carcinoma, non-small cell lung carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma of the lung.
Empire Genomics has developed a custom BRAF probe which can be used to detect/confirm a rearrangement of the BRAF gene. The probe comes labeled in orange, and generally ships within 24 hours. You can choose to customize the probe to meet your needs, which will ship right after production of the probe is complete (approximately 1 week).
