The protein encoded by CSF2 is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. CSF2 has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. CSF2 (Colony Stimulating Factor 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CSF2 include Mucositis and Candida Glabrata. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic cell lineage and RET signaling.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC-p 1:50-200, ELISA 1:10000-20000.
