Located in Bridgend, South Wales, Pinpoint Scientific is high-tech SME, established in 2009 by Gethin Jones, who has over 20 years design experience within the Life Science and Pharmaceutical industry and has expert knowledge of the existing air sampling market. Gethin Jones is an innovator, designer and engineer with a vision and passion to create world class products for the Life Science and Pharmaceutical. He works collaboratively with ex-colleagues from 3M and Biotrace to create an informal network of people who share his passion and belief in the new design and technology he has produced.
Pinpoint Scientific design and manufacture microbiological environmental monitoring equipment aimed primarily at the pharmaceutical market. Its core products are impaction air samplers and monitors that direct airborne microbial particles onto agar which is then incubated so that identification of the organism can be carried out. Pinpoint also produce a surface sampler to aid compliance with the relevant ISO standards as well as a number of cleanroom accessories. As well as offering Contract design services.
The vision for Pinpoint Scientific is to become a leading manufacturer of high-end biological monitoring equipment, consumables and accessories. The company’ strategy is to focus on monitoring technologies as opposed to sampling.
