BIO-Europe(R) attracts an international "who's who" from the biotech, pharma and finance sectors, along with the most exciting emerging companies. In 2017, approximately 3,800 attendees, representing 2,000 companies from over 60 countries are expected to have about 21,000 one-on-one meetings. More than 150 company presentations and 20 high-level workshops and panel discussions will complement the event. As in previous years, one of the highlights of the event will be the pitching competition "Startup Slam: Berlin", in which up to 20 start-up companies will get the opportunity to present their technologies to a jury of leading investors, pharma and biotech business KOLs.
