India—the future growth market.
India is an increasingly popular production location among international businessmen. The political situation in India is very stable, and its specialized personnel are very well educated. In the 2010 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Confidence Index compiled by management consultancy A.T. Kearney, India is considered a top investment destination: it is in third place in the confidence ranking after China and the United States.
Unless there is some extraordinary event, growth will continue and India will grow in the 7–9% range for the next decade.

• India’s importance to the global pharma industry is expected to increase considerably during the next ten years. India’s pharma market is expected to be in the top ten worldwide by 2020, increasing to approximately USD 50 billion (2009: USD 19 billion).
Biotechnology in India
